Since 2014, hospitals have improved patient recovery rates by transferring recovering patients to TCUs (Transitional Care Units). At a TCU, a patient can get stronger by doing occupational therapy, physical therapy, etc. Once the patient is stronger, then they can return to their homes, assisted living facilities, or memory care facilities. To help these patients decide which TCU to go to, this site lists every TCU (Transitional Care Unit) in the U.S. plus the grade / rating for each TCU.

The lists of TCUs are organized by state, and then on the state page, they are organized by grades and then by city. This organizational structure is used because you might want a TCU in your city, but if it's not available (many are booked because of COVID-19), then you can easily find nearby suburbs by looking at nearby cities within your state.
For a look at how we grade the TCUs, see our methodology.
